# Crypto DCA calculator (Bitcoin, ETH)

**$25 a week into BTC for 3 years puts in $3,900.00; on a path that dips, then recovers to end 10% higher, it would be worth about $5,122.56. This is a projection on a path you choose, not a backtest of past prices, and it leaves out fees.**

Projects a recurring buy (dollar-cost averaging) on a price path you choose: total put in, coins accumulated, average cost, and the same money invested on day one.

## Formula

coins bought  = Σ (amount ÷ price on each buy date)
average cost  = money put in ÷ coins bought
value         = coins bought × end price
assumed price = start price × (1 + change by the end)^(time ÷ plan length), bent down for a dip or up for a peak by as much as 30% halfway
