This page explains how to delete your Flicker account and the personal data associated with it, what gets removed, and what we are required to keep. It applies to the Flicker mobile apps (iOS and Android) and the Flicker website (collectively, the "Services").

1. Delete Your Account In-App (Fastest)
You can permanently delete your account directly from the app — no email required:
- Open the Flicker app and sign in.
- Go to More → Profile / Account Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Type delete to confirm, then confirm the deletion.
Your account is deactivated immediately and you are signed out. Deletion of your personal data from production systems then proceeds on the timeline in Section 4.
2. Request Deletion Without the App
If you can't access the app (for example, you've uninstalled it or can't sign in), you can still ask us to delete your account:

- Subject line: Account Deletion Request
- Include: the email address associated with your Flicker account so we can verify ownership.
We respond within 5 business days and complete verified deletion requests on the timeline in Section 4.
3. What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove the personal data tied to it from our production systems, including:
- Account information — your email address and password hash.
- Profile and preferences — display name, language, watchlist, favorite assets, and notification settings.
- Portfolio and exchange connections — any read-only exchange API connections and the trading/balance data associated with them. (You can also disconnect an exchange at any time without deleting your account.)
- App usage tied to your account — preferences and settings stored against your user ID.
4. Deletion Timeline
- Your account is deactivated immediately when you delete it in-app or when we verify an emailed request.
- Personal data is removed from production systems within 30 days.
- Backups containing personal data are rotated out within 35 days. Deletion is honored on production systems first and propagates to backups on the next rotation cycle.
5. What We Keep, and Why
Some records are retained after account deletion only where we are legally required to or have a legitimate, narrow need. This mirrors the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy:

Where applicable, retained billing data does not include your card or bank-account details — those are handled by Apple, Google, or the crypto network and are never stored by us.
6. Subscriptions
Deleting your Flicker account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed through the App Store or Google Play. To stop future charges, also cancel the subscription in your store account:
- Apple (App Store): Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Flicker → Cancel.
- Google Play: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Flicker → Cancel.
7. Your Rights
