Model Context Protocol

Connect your AI assistant to real market data

Flicker's MCP server gives Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and any Model Context Protocol client live prices, signals, and market analysis across crypto, stocks, and forex — plus your own portfolio once you connect your account.

Set up your assistant

Instructions vary slightly by client, but every MCP-compatible assistant connects the same way: point it at the server URL below, then sign in and approve when prompted — no key to copy.

  1. Open Settings → Connectors in Claude Desktop or claude.ai.
  2. Add a custom connector using the server URL below, then click Connect — Claude opens a Flicker sign-in and approval screen for you.

Public tools work with no sign-in. Personal tools — like your portfolio and alerts — prompt you to connect the first time your assistant uses them.

Frequently asked questions

What is MCP?

Model Context Protocol is an open standard, created by Anthropic, that lets AI assistants call external tools and read live data instead of relying only on their training data.

Is the Flicker MCP server free?

Yes. Every public market and analysis tool works with no account. Portfolio, account, and Pilot tools need a free Flicker account — whichever client you use, it opens a Flicker sign-in and approval screen the first time it needs them; a Pro plan unlocks extra timeframes and filters.

What can my AI assistant see?

Without connecting: public prices, signals, and market data only. Once connected: whatever you've linked — positions, balances, trade history, watchlist, alerts. Nothing beyond what your account already shows you.

Is this safe? Can it trade for me?

The MCP server is read-only end to end. It cannot place trades, move funds, or change your exchange connections — the same read-only guarantee as the rest of Flicker.

Which AI assistants work with Flicker's MCP server?

Any MCP-compatible client: Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, and custom agents built on the protocol.
